Inner journey with Meditative Therapeutic Yoga

~ deep relaxation & connection ~

A supportive space to restore balance, calm and clarity through guided meditation, guided relaxation combined with therapeutic yoga poses.  These practices naturally create space for deeper levels of physical, mental and emotional relaxation.  This offering is nourishing for those seeking relief from stress, emotional or energetic blockages or anyone wanting to deepen their connection with themselves in a safe, heart-centered way.

There are many therapeutic yoga poses so each session varies and is adapted for the people present creating a unique combination for maximum benefit.  Classes are small and slow-paced, allowing for personalized guidance and support.  Poses are adapted to meet each person’s body, flexibility and comfort level.  During poses I provide guided relaxation and meditation.  This guidance is designed to respond to the specific group’s energy to release tension and relax on a deeper level. Through this guidance, people are gently brought into deeper self-awareness, allowing for a stronger connection to oneself physically, mentally and emotionally, cultivating balance, calm and inner clarity.  Along with exploring different poses to release tension, we will also be practicing some breathing techniques.

Dana Vincent

I am a teacher & guide in personal growth, facilitating the clearing & upliftment of energy physically, mentally & emotionally.  I create energy clearing experiences with therapeutic yoga, meditation, guided relaxation, play and energy awareness, each one consciously attuned to the unique energy of the person or group I’m working with. These experiences support people to naturally level up into more emotional balance, mental clarity, authentic expression and conscious connection with themselves and others.

I’ve always been passionate about helping people grow personally, both in my own life and in supporting others.  I have personally healed from years of clinical depression naturally. Through my own journey, I’ve experienced the transformative power of feeling expansive and free emotionally, physically and mentally and I’m committed to supporting others to do the same for themselves.  I love doing this through play, mindful practices, connecting with nature, creative processes and guiding people personally.

My diverse range of teaching experiences has given me a strong foundation. In schools, I implemented my programs of yoga and play-based activities, supporting students in social and emotional development such as conflict resolution, communication and building self-confidence. Working with children sharpened my ability to improvise, stay present and go with the flow.  In therapeutic yoga and meditation, working one-on-one allowed me to connect more deeply to each person’s energy, helping me personalize my work to benefit them the most. I have a Bachelor of Education, certification in Yoga Therapeutics and Mini Yogis® for kids, as well as certifications in Reiki Level 1 and Transcendental Meditation.

Right now, we are continuously flooded with information telling us what to do, what to eat, what to watch, what to focus on and so much more. It can feel overwhelming, especially if you don’t have a strong inner foundation. This is another reason why I’m so passionate about what I do. In the world we live in today, I believe it is even more necessary to have mental clarity, a sense of peace, self-awareness and a strong connection with yourself. By becoming self-aware and clearing emotional and energetic patterns that keep us blocked, we create space for personal growth, deeper connections and a stronger sense of our own inner guidance.  Feeling free, expansive, lit up and the most authentic version of yourself is something everyone deserves to be!

How to prepare

Thank you for joining us! I’m excited for these next 5 weeks with all of you!

Here are some tips on how to prepare for the class for the maximum benefit:

Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes before the class starts. This gives you time to settle in, ask any questions, use the bathroom and set up your space, helping everyone start the class in a calm, focused energy. While occasional lateness is understandable, arriving on time is really appreciated.

* Put your phone on silent mode. This is to respect everyone in the room and it also allows you to give yourself the attention you need.

* Avoid wearing strong scents from perfumes/colognes. Certain scents can cause some people to feel nauseous.

* Wear comfortable clothing that allows your body to move freely.  Layers are suggested in case you feel too warm or too cold and need to adjust.

* Bring what you need. Bring your own yoga mat. We do have a couple on hand in case of unforeseen circumstances.  Water is good to stay hydrated.

* Prepare your mind and body.  Take a moment before class to take a deep breath, focus on the present moment and your intentions for the class.

Optional

* Bring a journal and pen. Sometimes we feel a need to write down a realization, a reflection or an observation that we may not want to forget.

Thank you!
